investment and consulting company

story
After many years of advisory board work, Stefan Keitel (55) has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Harald Quandt Holding GmbH & Co. KG (HQ) in Bad Homburg since 2020 and temporarily moved to the Supervisory Board of the HQ Group in January 2023 in order to be able to devote himself exclusively to other mandate tasks in the future. Before that, he was Chairman of the Management Board of Deka Investment for around 5 years and, in addition, CEO Asset Management and Chief Investment Strategist of Deka Bank. Other professional positions included the Hamburg private bank Berenberg and Credit Suisse, where Stefan Keitel was responsible for all divisions as Global Chief Investment Officer and Co-Head of Global Portfolio Management for around 13 years. Stefan Keitel is a trained banker (Deutsche Bank) and holds a degree in business administration with a focus on finance from the University of Mainz.
"After more than 25 very demanding, exciting and successful years in partly global operational management positions in the financial sector, I have followed the goal I defined at a young age of daring to be more free-spirited and entrepreneurial from my mid-50s onwards. By focusing purely on an international mandate profile and foregoing operational matters, I can also take family requirements into account more."
MANDATES
VOLUNTARY OFFICERS
ENTREPRENEURSHIP

In the course of 2023, I was able to build up a diversified portfolio of different, partly international mandates and am now operating as a multi-supervisory board member and advisor. The focus is on the asset & wealth management, private equity and venture capital segments.

Since my early years, serving society through voluntary work has been part of my focus. When I was in my mid-twenties, I was president of a multi-sports club for several years, which in retrospect turned out to be an excellent basis for working in management positions. Voluntary work is fulfilling for me and gives me the opportunity to give something back.

No matter how prominent and important operational functions are, real entrepreneurship is simply something different.
The opportunity and risk profile is different, the degrees of freedom and decision-making powers are simply greater and it has always been my goal to take the leap into entrepreneurship again from a secure position and to build something sustainable.
